Broken cars and berry treats. Conversations with two-year olds and bubbles that were bigger than my head.
When friday came the holidays started. Two weeks of hanging loose and a trip to Marrakech.

The holidays started with theater. Getting into the mood of a person who is in a mental facility is quite a challenge.
But it’s a good one. There were lots of conversations, singing, coffee breaks,  water ballons and water guns.
Our theater group feels like a wild bunch of siblings and while we watched Monty Pythons And now for something completely different… I sat between my big brother one and two.

Sunday came and after we said goodbye nobody left and we stayed outside talking.
That feeling, were you want to rewind and see it all from the very start. A pause button for your favourite moments. That’s what I want to have. In two months this adventure will end with a bang. I have to think for a cliffhanger.

Shortest school week of the year. 4 Days of intense theater work. Finding roles, dealing with groups, tantrums and tempers. Dealing with my inner self that fell into the abyss of her own created character. Got held by my sister till I was okay.

Got a job for fall. A Theaterworkshop that I will give.
I learned so much the past 4 days that my head is still spinning from all the thoughts and talks. Mostly good talks with kind words and memories. Went out on a party, felt old and occupied the kitchen – invented games and spend the night in star wars linens.

There is a lightness.

There are more curls. There are strawberries everywhere. There is new strength coming and there was a lot of yoga the last three months.

Ein paar müssige Zeilen

Nie haben wir weniger Schaden angerichtet als damals,
da wir uns an langen Nachmittagen langsam betranken,
und waren nie harmloser, es sei denn im Schlaf,
als an den Tagen, die wir mit wirren Palavern hinbrachten;
(Hans Magnus Enzensberger)

Weeks, were the middle part is a day off and you can have long breakfasts, strawberrmintsips,  and plan trips around the world are the best kind.
So Mademoiselle E. & I are flying to Marrakech in two weeks. Africa. Another continent. Marrakech. This is the most spontaneously planned trip that we ever did. But the conditions are perfect and the adventure is tempting.
School was a drag. It just don’t feel right at the moment. But here and there are some lessons that go like you planned and the most important thing. My kids are alright. They really are.

Weekends. That really are only there for doing just what you love. priceless.

Next week is two days school and 4 days theater. I wish all my weeks would look like this and in the future they will look like this. I know.

Also, raspberry treats <3

I’ve been in and out the vlogbrothers universe. I watched when they were just talking to each other. I skipped the whole part of Nerdfighteria and how it became a universe. But I love to return there, from time to time.
This time, especially after reading “The Fault In Our Stars”. I can’t say it changed my life. But it is one of the most beautiful written stories I read in a long time. And I fell in love with the characters but much more with the language of John Green. The banter, the dialogues, the crafted story and the tempo. The parts where you burst out laughing, and the part where you get heartbroken by what you can’t just make to disappear. And the little wise words that are for you to discover in that book.

Now, as in last year, they launched another awesome Project Crash Course – a teaching blog, about all the things that are teachable. And then some.

Es ist Sonntag und ich habe ein Buch zu Ende gelesen und stöbere durch neue Musik. So wie früher, als noch kein Referendariat war und ich für nichts mehr Zeit hatte.

We Invented Paris heißen die Schweizer Musiker. Akustik ist immer besser.
Worte sind oft fehl am Platz und Musik der direkteste Weg der Kommunikation zwischen A und B.

Horrible week. Horrible, horrible week. But family and friends and a lot of other sweet people make up for it. A lot! <3  For every stupid comment I heard about my teachingcraft that wheighs mountains, I got a bunch of lovley things back. My head just has to realize. So my head and I took the weekend off from everything. In between were Penguins and finished first parts of the skyscarf. There were teapots and red fingers from strawberry snacks.
